France - Parc Spirou, located in France, has commenced testing for its new roller coaster, “Kyûbi Unchained.” This ride is part of a new section within the park based on the Japanese anime and manga series Naruto and is scheduled to open in 2025.
Introduction of New Attractions
The Naruto-themed area is designed to replicate the fictional village of Konoha from the series. Two new attractions are planned for this area, both manufactured by the Italian company Zamperla, with “Kyûbi Unchained” as the primary attraction.
Technical Details of “Kyûbi Unchained”
“Kyûbi Unchained” is a Family Thrill Launch Coaster featuring a dual-launch system. The ride starts with a tire-propelled launch, accelerating riders to a speed of 37 mph (60 km/h). It includes a high chicane, an angled airtime hill, and a double down before returning to the station for a second launch. This second launch increases the speed to 47 mph (75 km/h), taking riders through a 180-degree turn and over an airtime hill.
The ride concludes with an S-curve leading to a 103-foot-tall (31.5-meter) dead-end spike, the highest point of the coaster. The train then reverses direction and returns to the station.
Expansion and Future Plans
This development at Parc Spirou involves expanding its attractions with themes appealing to visitors, especially anime fans. While “Kyûbi Unchained” is a significant addition, further information about the second attraction in the Naruto-themed area has not yet been released.
