Parc Astérix Debuts Spectacular New Night Show Featuring 500 Drones

Parc Astérix has officially premiered its brand-new nighttime spectacular, raising the bar for evening entertainment with an ambitious production that combines hundreds of drones, giant fountains, projection mapping and fireworks.

The new show, titled C’est du Délire!, is the park’s biggest nighttime production to date and serves as the centrepiece of its extended summer opening hours.

A Multi-Sensory Spectacle

The performance brings together a wide range of technologies to create an immersive experience over the park’s central lake.

More than 500 drones take to the sky, forming animated scenes and iconic characters from the Astérix universe, while large fountains, water screens and projection mapping add another visual layer to the production. Fireworks and a specially composed soundtrack complete the show, creating a finale designed to rival the nighttime spectaculars found at Europe’s biggest theme parks.

The production lasts approximately 20 minutes and is presented after dark during selected summer evenings.

New Technology Meets Classic Storytelling

Rather than relying solely on fireworks, Parc Astérix has embraced the growing trend of drone technology to tell its story.

Throughout the show, the drones create changing formations above the lake, synchronised with music, lighting effects and projections. Combined with fountains and pyrotechnics, the result is a dynamic production that celebrates the adventures of Astérix, Obélix and the other beloved characters from the famous comic book series.

Drone shows have become increasingly popular at theme parks around the world thanks to their flexibility, precision and ability to create complex aerial animations.

Expanding the Evening Experience

The new nighttime spectacular forms part of Parc Astérix’s strategy to encourage guests to stay longer during the busy summer season.

In recent years, the park has continued to expand its entertainment offering with new live shows, seasonal events and extended operating hours, complementing its growing collection of attractions and roller coasters. The addition of a large-scale nighttime production gives visitors another reason to remain in the park until closing time.

One of Europe’s Most Impressive Night Shows

With its combination of more than 500 drones, fountains, projection mapping and fireworks, C’est du Délire! represents one of the most technologically advanced nighttime productions currently operating at a European theme park.

The new spectacular reinforces Parc Astérix’s ambition to compete not only through its attractions, but also through world-class entertainment, offering guests a memorable finale to their day at the popular French theme park.
