Dollywood Parks & Resorts has been named on Forbes’ America’s Best Employers for Women 2025 list, distinguishing itself as the only theme park company to receive this honor. This recognition is derived from data collected from over 140,000 women over the past three years, focusing on companies with a workforce of 1,000 or more employees.
Evaluation Process
Dollywood’s inclusion on this list follows an evaluation process conducted by Statista. The analysis considered personal and public evaluations, as well as a leadership diversity index, to determine the ranking. Dollywood’s placement in the Travel & Leisure industry category reflects its work environment for women.
Previous Recognitions and Employee Feedback
Dollywood was also recognized by Newsweek as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Women 2025. This recognition coincides with Dollywood’s ranking as Tripadvisor’s #1 theme park in the U.S. for the third time in four years. Additionally, Dollywood received the Golden Ticket Award for Best Guest Experience.
Employee Programs
Dollywood offers various programs aimed at professional growth and personal well-being. These include Herschend’s GROW U., which provides free tuition, and access to the Dollywood Family Healthcare Center. Leadership development is supported through an apprenticeship program with Walters State Community College. Flexible scheduling and mentorship programs are also available.
Diversity and Opportunity Initiatives
Susan Loveday, Dollywood’s Vice President of Human Resources, highlighted the park’s efforts to promote leadership development and flexible work arrangements. These initiatives contribute to Dollywood’s recognition as a leading employer for women.
