A major new indoor family entertainment venue is coming to The Woodlands, Texas, as Lava Island prepares to open a 37,000-square-foot indoor playground in spring 2027.
The fast-growing company has filed plans for a new location at 4775 W Panther Creek Drive, where it will transform an existing building into one of its largest indoor play centres.
Tropical-Themed Family Entertainment
Lava Island is known for its tropical-themed indoor playgrounds that encourage active, screen-free play for children while offering comfortable spaces for families to spend time together.
The new venue will feature large trampoline areas, multi-level climbing structures, themed party rooms and dedicated spaces for birthday celebrations. Plans also include a commercial kitchen, offices and other guest facilities.
$2.5 Million Investment
The project represents an investment of approximately $2.5 million and involves a complete renovation of the 37,000-square-foot building.
Construction is expected to begin on 2 November 2026, with work scheduled to continue through the winter before the venue opens in spring 2027.
Growing Across the United States
Lava Island has been expanding rapidly across the United States, opening large indoor playgrounds designed to provide year-round family entertainment regardless of the weather.
Once complete, the new location in The Woodlands will become another major addition to the area’s growing range of family attractions, offering a large indoor destination where children can climb, jump and play while parents relax or celebrate special occasions.
