Construction is moving rapidly on what will become the Czech Republic’s first wooden roller coaster, with new photos revealing just how much progress has been made at Park Mirakulum.
The latest construction update shows large sections of the wooden structure now standing, while steel support columns for the ride’s signature elevated turnaround have also been installed. With multiple cranes on site and track work continuing, the landmark project is beginning to take its final shape.
Landmark Attraction for the Czech Republic
The new roller coaster is being built by Great Coasters International (GCI), one of the world’s leading manufacturers of wooden roller coasters, in collaboration with Skyline Attractions.
Once completed, it will be the first wooden roller coaster ever constructed in the Czech Republic, making it one of the country’s most significant theme park investments in recent years.
Recent aerial photographs show that much of the lower wooden structure has now been assembled, while work has also progressed on the towering steel framework that will support one of the coaster’s highest sections.
Construction Progress Becoming More Visible
Compared with updates from just a few weeks ago, the coaster has grown dramatically.
The layout is now clearly recognisable, with several sweeping turns and elevation changes visible across the construction site. Workers are continuing to install the intricate wooden lattice that forms the backbone of the ride, while heavy lifting equipment remains on site to position the larger structural elements.
Although track installation has not yet been completed, the pace of construction suggests the project is entering one of its busiest phases.
A Major Expansion for Park Mirakulum
The wooden coaster is expected to become the centrepiece of a major expansion at Park Mirakulum, a family-oriented destination located near Prague.
Known primarily for its large adventure playgrounds, climbing attractions and outdoor activities, the park has steadily expanded in recent years. The addition of a world-class wooden roller coaster represents its biggest investment to date and is expected to attract visitors from across Central Europe.
If construction continues on schedule, the attraction is expected to open during the 2027 season, introducing a completely new coaster experience to the Czech Republic and marking another milestone for GCI’s growing portfolio of wooden roller coasters across Europe.
