Gardaland Resort has officially launched Minecraft: Meet the Mobs, becoming the only theme park in Italy to host the official Minecraft experience and one of just two locations in Europe offering the event this summer alongside Alton Towers Resort in the United Kingdom.
Running from 18 July through 28 August, the limited-time experience brings the world of Minecraft into a real-life theme park setting with interactive activities, character encounters and exclusive rewards.
Meet Iconic Minecraft Characters
At the heart of the event is the Meet the Mobs Trail, where guests explore six Minecraft-inspired locations throughout the park in search of the adorable Baby Mobs.
Visitors can also meet and take photos with some of the game’s most recognisable characters, including Steve, Creeper, Chicken Jockey, Axolotl, Baby Panda, Chick and Wolf Pup.
Guests who complete the trail unlock an exclusive digital Minecraft in-game reward through the Minecraft Hub.
Interactive Experiences for the Whole Family
In addition to the trail and character meet-and-greets, the Minecraft Hub offers themed activities designed for families and younger fans.
The event also includes exclusive Minecraft merchandise and themed food and drinks, allowing guests to immerse themselves further in the block-built universe.
Merlin Continues Its Minecraft Partnership
The event is part of Merlin Entertainments’ growing partnership with Minecraft and Mojang. Alongside Gardaland, Alton Towers is hosting the same experience this summer, while Merlin is also preparing to open the world’s first permanent Minecraft-themed land at Chessington World of Adventures in 2027.
By bringing one of the world’s most popular video game franchises into its parks, Merlin continues to expand its portfolio of immersive, family-focused experiences aimed at attracting a new generation of visitors.
