Walygator Grand Est Plans Maintenance for Popular Coaster

Walygator Grand Est, a well-loved amusement park in France, has announced upcoming maintenance for one of its star attractions, the B&M inverted coaster Monster. Known for its thrilling design and exhilarating ride experience, the roller coaster will soon undergo essential maintenance to ensure visitor safety and comfort.

Background of the Attraction

Monster is a B&M inverted roller coaster currently operating at Walygator Grand Est in France. Originally opened in 1996 at Expoland in Japan, the ride was relocated to Walygator and has been part of the park since 2010. It is known for its multiple inversions, high-speed layout, and the characteristic dangling-leg ride experience of B&M inverted coasters.

Initial Setup and Recent Improvements

When the ride was installed at Walygator, it featured no theming, and the station building was constructed without a roof. During the past winter season, a roof was finally added to the station. More recently, the park has started initial theming efforts, including the addition of plants and landscaping around the attraction.

Ongoing Maintenance Works

In addition to the theming updates, the park has announced maintenance work on the ride. While no technical details or timelines have been provided, visitors may experience temporary closures or adjusted operations during the maintenance period. These efforts are intended to support the continued safe operation of the attraction.

Future Theming Plans

Further theming is scheduled for the coming winter season, focusing on the station building. The work will be carried out by AAB, a theming company previously involved in the design of the Kondaa area at Walibi Belgium. This marks a step toward enhancing the overall appearance and atmosphere of the attraction.

With both maintenance and theming underway, Monster is set to receive some long-awaited improvements. As work continues, the park may provide further updates regarding progress and reopening details.
