Tomorrowland’s LIFE Water Park Plans on Hold

In 2023, Tomorrowland revealed early plans for LIFE, a visionary indoor and outdoor water park inspired by the festival’s iconic world and atmosphere. The concept promised a unique blend of immersive design, storytelling, and aquatic fun. However, the project has since gone quiet, and its future remains uncertain.

A bold and creative concept

LIFE was designed as a futuristic resort featuring pools, water slides, and themed environments. At the center of the concept was a large dome-like structure, decorated with a signature “tentacle tree” — a visual centerpiece that captured the spirit of Tomorrowland in a water-based setting.

Initial location near Germany

The first location under consideration was in western Poland, near the German border and within reach of Berlin. The area was seen as a strategic starting point due to existing leisure developments and accessibility. Additional future sites in other countries, including Italy, were also being considered.

Development paused

Despite the initial announcement, there have been no further updates regarding permits, construction, or opening timelines. Since 2023, no visible progress has been made, and the project appears to be on hold indefinitely.

Focus shifts to other projects

The development teams involved have since shifted their attention to other entertainment and leisure projects elsewhere in Europe. While plans for new destinations continue, the LIFE water park is no longer being actively pursued at this time.

Uncertain future

As of mid-2025, there is no confirmed timeline or commitment to move forward with the LIFE water park. Unless new announcements are made in the future, the project remains paused, with its long-term outlook unclear.
