Tokyo Disney Resort will introduce a new maximum ticket price in October 2026, with adult admission to Tokyo Disneyland reaching ¥12,400 ($76) on selected dates.
The new price is ¥1,500 ($9) above the previous maximum of ¥10,900 ($67) and represents the highest level introduced since the resort adopted variable pricing for its one-day tickets.
The record price will initially apply on Sunday, October 11, and Saturday, October 17. Several other October dates have also been assigned prices above the current maximum, including ¥11,900 ($73) tickets on October 10 and October 18.
New pricing tier targets peak October weekends
Tokyo Disney Resort adjusts its one-day ticket prices according to expected attendance. Weekends, public holidays and other high-demand dates are generally placed in more expensive pricing categories, while quieter weekdays remain available at lower rates.
October is traditionally one of the resort’s busiest periods due to its annual Halloween programme. The new maximum price has been concentrated around weekends during the event period, when demand is expected to be particularly high.
Adult tickets will cost ¥10,900 ($67) on Friday, October 9, before rising to ¥11,900 ($73) on Saturday and ¥12,400 ($76) on Sunday. The ¥12,400 ($76) rate returns on Saturday, October 17, followed by a slightly lower price of ¥11,900 ($73) on Sunday, October 18.
Junior tickets for the most expensive dates will cost ¥10,200 ($63), while child admission will reach ¥5,900 ($36).
Increase goes beyond the existing maximum
The October calendar does not simply assign more dates to the existing highest category. Instead, it introduces two prices above the previous ¥10,900 ($67) ceiling.
The move creates a wider gap between lower-demand dates and the resort’s busiest operating days. Visitors planning trips around weekends or major seasonal events will therefore face a greater premium than under the previous structure.
It is not yet clear whether the ¥12,400 ($76) tier will remain limited to selected Halloween dates or will also be used during other busy periods, such as Christmas, New Year or future holiday weekends.
Variable pricing remains central to Tokyo Disney Resort
Tokyo Disney Resort replaced its previous fixed admission structure with variable pricing in 2021. Since then, the operator has gradually expanded the number of pricing levels used across the calendar.
Ticket prices are published by date, requiring visitors to select a specific day when purchasing admission. The same date-based approach also allows the resort to raise prices on days when attendance is expected to be strongest without applying a uniform increase throughout the year.
The new October pricing represents the most significant upward adjustment to the top end of the system so far, raising the maximum adult admission price by almost 14 per cent.
