Visitors to Denmark’s Summerland Sjælland will soon be able to explore a brand-new attraction aimed at the park’s youngest guests. On 22 July, the family park will officially open Ridderborgen, a large medieval-themed playground designed around castles, knights and princesses.
The opening marks the completion of one of the park’s newest additions, giving children a spacious area where they can climb, play and embark on their own adventures in a fantasy setting.
Grand Opening Celebration
The official inauguration is scheduled to take place at 12:00 p.m. and will include a festive opening ceremony. During the event, the ceremonial ribbon will be cut before the first visitors are welcomed into the new play area.
Guests attending the opening can also expect appearances by clown Giulio and several of the park’s mascots, who will help celebrate the launch and welcome the first children into Ridderborgen.
A New Family Attraction
Ridderborgen has been created as an immersive play environment inspired by medieval castles. Rather than being a traditional ride, the attraction focuses on imaginative play, climbing and exploration, allowing children to become knights and princesses in their own adventures.
The new addition further strengthens Summerland Sjælland’s offering for families with young children, complementing the park’s existing mix of rides, playgrounds and water attractions.
With the official opening taking place on 22 July, visitors will soon be able to discover the park’s newest kingdom and become among the first to conquer Ridderborgen.
