SnowWorld and Snowcentres Merge to Form Indoor Skiing Group in Europe

SnowWorld, a Netherlands-based operator, has merged with the UK’s Snowcentres. This merger leads to a new group with twelve locations across five countries, establishing it as a significant entity in year-round indoor skiing and winter sports in Europe.

European Market Leadership in Indoor Skiing

The new entity attracts over 4.5 million visitors annually and generates revenue exceeding 120 million euros. It includes the world’s largest ski school and employs more than 1,000 full-time staff. SnowWorld’s major shareholder and the shareholders of Snowcentres each hold a 50% stake in the new organization.

Geographical Reach and Headquarters

The group operates twelve locations in the Netherlands, the UK, Germany, Belgium, and France. The headquarters is located in Roosendaal, the Netherlands.

Focus on Synergies and Sustainability

The merger aims to leverage synergies with a focus on product quality and sustainability, including efforts towards long-term energy neutrality. The cultural alignment between the two organizations is noted as a factor in their collaborative efforts in the indoor winter sports sector.
