Six Flags Over Texas - Six Flags Over Texas has announced plans for a new roller coaster named “Tormenta Rampaging Run.” Developed by coaster manufacturer Bolliger & Mabillard, this attraction is set to become the first giga dive coaster, featuring various specifications.
Coaster Specifications and Design
The “Tormenta Rampaging Run” coaster will stand at a height of 309 feet (94 meters), with 4,199 feet (1,280 meters) of track. It is designed to reach speeds of up to 87 mph (140 km/h). The coaster will include a 95-degree beyond vertical drop at 179 feet (54 meters) and will feature the world’s highest Immelmann inversion at 218 feet (66 meters).
Technical Details
The coaster’s trains are designed to hold 24 riders, arranged in three rows of eight. The trains were presented at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, Texas, and at the IAAPA Expo in Orlando, showcasing the ride’s engineering and design features.
Park Integration and Opening Timeline
“Tormenta Rampaging Run” will be located in the newly reimagined Spanish village area of the park, named Rancha do la Tormenta. This addition is scheduled to open next year. The introduction of this coaster marks a development in the park’s attraction offerings.
