Finland - Särkänniemi Amusement Park in Tampere, Finland, has announced the introduction of a new family-oriented roller coaster, scheduled to open in summer 2026. This ride involves a ten-million-euro investment and follows the decommissioning of several older rides.
New Roller Coaster Details
The roller coaster will be constructed by Vekoma, a Dutch manufacturer. It will include elements reaching a height of 98 feet (30 meters) and a length of 1,640 feet (500 meters). The ride will achieve speeds of up to 43.5 mph (70 km/h).
Location and Construction Changes
The coaster will be located by Näsijärvi lake, in an area previously occupied by the Trombi ride, constructed by Zamperla and closed last year. An old hamburger restaurant will be demolished, and the Take Off attraction will be relocated to accommodate the new coaster.
Project Timeline and Rider Requirements
The roller coaster is planned to open in summer 2026. It will have a minimum height requirement of 3.3 feet (1 meter) for riders, allowing access for families with young children.
