Germany - Port des Lumières in Hamburg, Germany, will open the “Prehistoric Planet: Dinosaurs – The Immersive Experience” exhibition on December 13, 2025. Developed with Culturespaces and the London-based studio Lightroom, the project draws inspiration from the Apple TV series “Prehistoric Planet” and is designed to depict the era of dinosaurs.
Exhibition Details and Features
The exhibition presents a journey into the prehistoric world, featuring segments such as “Raising Young Dinosaurs” and “Patterns of Evolution.” German voice actor Christian Brückner narrates the exhibition. Visitors will encounter imagery and the original soundtrack from the “Prehistoric Planet” series, illustrating life from 66 million years ago. The exhibition notably presents dinosaurs in their actual size, offering perspectives on their existence and behaviors.
Interactive Elements and Attractions
The exhibition includes the “Kids’ Atelier,” which engages younger visitors with dinosaur-themed activities. This area features coloring motifs that can be projected onto walls, providing children with creative and educational opportunities. The exhibition is accessible to families, school groups, and fans of nature documentaries, particularly during the pre-Christmas season.
Operational and Creative Collaborations
Managed by Culturespaces, Port des Lumières continues to offer immersive experiences. The collaboration with Lightroom and the creative team from the BBC Studios Natural History Unit is intended to enhance the exhibition’s authenticity and educational content. The project integrates art, science, and history in its presentation.
