Japan - Yomiuriland amusement park in Tokyo, Japan, is scheduled to introduce a new themed area, PokéPark Kanto, on February 5, 2026. This area will cover 26,000 square meters (279,862 square feet) and will be divided into two sections: Sedge Town and Pokémon Forest.
Details of Sedge Town and Pokémon Forest
Sedge Town is modeled after Geosenge Town from the Pokémon X and Y games and will include Pokémon-themed rides. Attractions will feature a carousel and a ride focused on the character Pikachu. The section will incorporate design elements inspired by the games.
Pokémon Forest will feature static Pokémon figures placed within a natural setting, aiming to create a garden-like environment. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the surroundings alongside Pokémon characters.
Collaboration and Future Prospects
The development of PokéPark Kanto is part of an ongoing collaboration between Yomiuriland and the Pokémon Company. This partnership has previously produced the Pokémon Wonder experience.
In Europe, Nintendo has registered trademarks for PokéPark Kalos and PokéPark Paldea, based on regions from the Pokémon games. While these trademarks suggest potential future developments, there is no confirmed information regarding European parks at this time.
