United Kingdom - Paultons Park, located in the UK, has announced an expansion with the introduction of “Valgard: Realm of the Vikings,” scheduled to open on May 16, 2026. This new themed area will include the park’s first roller coaster with inversions, along with various other attractions and enhancements.
New Attractions
The centerpiece of the Viking-themed area will be the park’s first roller coaster to feature inversions, designed by a German company. This development is noteworthy for Paultons Park as it broadens its range of rides. Additionally, the area will include a Wild Swing attraction.
Financial Details
The development of “Valgard: Realm of the Vikings” involves an investment of 14 million euros. This investment covers not only the two new rides but also the construction of a themed restaurant and playground, designed for families and younger visitors.
Preparation and Future Developments
In preparation for this expansion, Paultons Park relocated an existing drop tower ride to another UK location on September 7, 2025. This relocation made space for the new developments in the Viking-themed zone. The park also plans to expand this area further with a water dark ride, expected to be completed in 2027.
