France - Parc Astérix will introduce its new roller coaster, Cétautomatix, on August 18, 2025. This attraction will be the first of its kind in Europe, featuring both spinning and propulsion elements.
Design and Theme
The Cétautomatix roller coaster will be located in the expanded Gaulish area of Parc Astérix. It is inspired by the character Cétautomatix, the blacksmith from the Astérix comics.
The coaster’s design includes a seating arrangement with two rows of two passengers facing each other. This configuration allows for an interactive experience and is accessible to riders with a minimum height of 3.3 feet (1 meter).
Technical Specifications
Cétautomatix features several technical elements. The coaster reaches a height of 46 feet (14 meters) and spans a track length of 1,378 feet (420 meters). It achieves a top speed of 28 mph (45 km/h) and includes various vertical and horizontal direction changes, along with spinning vehicles. The ride operates with eight vehicles on the track.
