France - Parc Astérix in France plans to expand its attractions with a new Londinium-themed zone, expected to open in 2028. A central feature of this zone is an interactive dark ride developed by Alterface, a company specializing in interactive technology for theme parks.
Interactive Experience for All Ages
The ride, designed by Alterface, will be part of the Londinium zone and will cater to visitors aged four and above. It will include six interactive scenes where visitors can use ‘magic potion gourds’ to engage in carnival-style challenges. These activities are based on elements from the Asterix universe, reflecting both Gaulish and British cultural themes. The ride will maintain a lighthearted tone consistent with the Asterix franchise’s humor.
Scoring System
The ride will feature a scoring system that allows participants to track their progress with visible scores, discover hidden bonuses, and explore multiple levels. This system is designed to offer varied experiences with each visit.
Technical Expertise by Alterface
Alterface is responsible for the interactive elements of the ride, leveraging their expertise in creating intuitive and responsive attractions. The company is recognized for developing family-oriented experiences, and this new attraction at Parc Astérix is expected to continue that tradition.
