Oakwood Theme Park’s Roller Coasters to Relocate to France

The relocation of two roller coasters from the now-closed Oakwood Theme Park in Wales has been confirmed. These attractions will be installed in French theme parks operated by Aspro Parks. The involved rides are the Zierer Tivoli Large roller coaster, Treetops Rollercoaster, and the Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter, Speed: No Limits.

Relocation Details and Future Installations

Treetops Rollercoaster will be transferred to Walygator Grand Est. Originally opened in 1989, the ride features a height of 26 feet (8 meters), a track length of approximately 1,181 feet (360 meters), and can achieve speeds of 22 mph (35 km/h). At Walygator Grand Est, it is set to replace the Flatride Walynosaure, which is currently undergoing dismantlement for renovation.

Speed: No Limits, a Gerstlauer-designed ride, will be relocated to Walygator Sud-Ouest. Information concerning the timeline and specifics of its installation has not been provided.

Theming Plans at Walygator Grand Est

In addition to acquiring Treetops Rollercoaster, Walygator Grand Est plans to enhance the theming of its B&M coaster, Monster, during the upcoming winter season. The park has partnered with AAB, a company known for its work on Kondaa at Walibi Belgium, to execute these enhancements. Detailed plans for the theming improvements have not been disclosed.
