Nigloland will introduce a major new attraction in 2027: a dual-launch roller coaster with inversions, marking a first for the French theme park. The ride will be located near the King of Mississippi paddleboat in the current Canadian-themed area and will be part of a new American West-inspired zone. This project is among the most significant developments in the park’s history.
First Inversions and Dual Launch System
The upcoming coaster will feature two propulsion launches and include multiple inversions—making it the first roller coaster at Nigloland to invert riders. It will reach a peak height of 43 meters (141 feet) and offer a ride duration of approximately one minute. The park has stated that the track will include unique elements not seen in previous rides at Nigloland.
This addition will expand the park’s coaster line-up to six, joining Train de la Mine, Spatiale Experience, Alpina Blitz, Schlitt’ Express, and Noisette Express. The 2027 launch coaster represents a step toward higher thrill offerings within a park traditionally known for family-focused attractions.
Western-Themed Zone and Supporting Infrastructure
The coaster will serve as the anchor attraction for a new themed area designed around the aesthetics of the American frontier. The development will also include a new restaurant and an additional family ride, further enhancing the diversity of the experience. The park’s train ride circuit will be modified to allow direct access to the new zone via a new station stop, improving guest flow and integration with the existing park layout.
The area currently occupied by the King of Mississippi will be re-themed or replaced, suggesting a broader redevelopment of the adjacent Canadian section. Nigloland has not yet released renderings or confirmed the names of the new attractions or themed structures.
Strategic Growth and Thematic Investment
The 2027 launch coaster is part of a wider series of investments that have included the eco-designed Cabaïana lodges, the immersive La Forêt de Niglo, and recent renovations to the Hôtel des Pirates. These projects reflect Nigloland’s intention to grow both in physical scale and in audience scope, offering more varied experiences while maintaining its values of environmental responsibility and family accessibility.
Further announcements regarding the ride’s name, manufacturer, and opening timeline are expected in the coming months as construction progresses.
