New Interactive Roller Coaster to Launch at LEGOLAND Parks in 2026

LEGOLAND Florida, LEGOLAND California - LEGOLAND Florida and LEGOLAND California Resorts are set to introduce an indoor roller coaster, Galacticoaster, in 2026. This attraction, announced by Merlin Entertainments at the IAAPA Expo 2025, represents a substantial investment for both U.S. LEGOLAND locations, with a total budget of $90 million.

Galacticoaster: Design-Based Coaster Experience

The Galacticoaster will allow guests to design their own ride vehicles. Developed over three years, this project involves collaboration among Merlin Magic Making, ART Engineering, AVSC, Imagineize, 2Heads, and LEGO Brand Parks and Experience. The attraction will offer over 625 customizable spacecraft combinations, facilitated through touchscreens and RFID wristbands. The ride’s narrative is set in a LEGO-themed solar system, featuring interactive elements, lighting, special effects, and references to classic LEGO Space sets.

Expansion at LEGOLAND California

Alongside the Galacticoaster, LEGOLAND California will introduce a new area called LEGO Galaxy. This themed land will include attractions such as the G Force Test Facility and DUPLO Launch and Land, as well as themed dining options. The area will also feature nine large LEGO models and host the Junior Galaxy Explorers Search program.

Timeline and Financial Details

Both the LEGO Galaxy land and the Galacticoaster are expected to open in 2026, with specific dates to be announced. The $90 million investment reflects the scale of this dual project at the two LEGOLAND locations in the United States.
