LEGOLAND Deutschland Brings Ice Skating to Summer With New Seasonal Attraction

LEGOLAND Deutschland Resort has unveiled an unusual new attraction for the summer season: an ice skating rink that allows guests to enjoy a winter activity in the middle of the warmest months of the year.

Named Summer Skating – Summer on Ice, the new experience features a 288-square-metre ice rink located behind the Power Builder Hall. The attraction is included with regular park admission and will remain available until the end of the 2026 operating season.

Ice skating in the middle of summer

The new attraction offers families the opportunity to skate regardless of the outside temperature. Whether guests are stepping onto the ice for the first time or are experienced skaters, the rink has been designed as a family-friendly activity suitable for a wide range of ages.

Skates and gloves are provided free of charge, with the park recommending that children aged 12 and under wear gloves and long trousers while on the ice.

The rink operates daily from 11:00 a.m. until one hour before the park closes, giving visitors another attraction to enjoy alongside the resort’s rides and shows.

Part of an expanded summer programme

The ice rink forms part of LEGOLAND Deutschland’s enhanced summer offering. From 20 July through 30 August, the resort will once again host the LEGO Festival, featuring interactive themed zones, live entertainment, building activities and character experiences throughout the park.

Guests visiting during August will also be able to enjoy the resort’s extended Summer Nights, which include longer opening hours, live entertainment and fireworks on selected dates.

By introducing a full-sized ice rink during the height of summer, LEGOLAND Deutschland adds another unique family attraction to its seasonal entertainment programme, giving visitors an experience rarely found at European theme parks.
