Legoland Billund to Introduce New Dueling Coaster in 2026

Denmark - Legoland Billund in Denmark has announced plans to launch a new dueling roller coaster named Minifigure Speedway for the 2026 season. The attraction, produced by German manufacturer Zierer, will feature a dual-track design and distinct theming.

Coaster Features and Design

The Minifigure Speedway will replace the former Vikings River Splash water ride, located between the Knights’ Kingdom and Adventure Land sections of the park. The ride will include two tracks, each themed around different teams: Team Legends, led by the character Corn Cob Guy, and Team All Stars, led by Banana Guy. This design allows riders to choose their experience and engage in a race along parallel tracks.

Technical Details and Theming

The roller coaster will reach a top speed of 56 km/h (approximately 35 mph). A notable feature of Minifigure Speedway will be a 9-meter-high (approximately 30 feet) statue of Roxie, a fictional speedway racer, intended as a photo opportunity for park guests and enhancing the visual aspect of the ride area.

Construction and Manufacturer

The attraction is being developed by Zierer, a German ride manufacturer known for creating family-friendly attractions.
