Jardin d’Acclimatation to Host “Le Japon en Lumières” Lantern Festival

France - The Jardin d’Acclimatation in Paris will host the “Le Japon en Lumières” festival from December 10, 2025, to March 8, 2026. This event is part of the park’s Festival des Lanternes series, which included “Dragons et Lanternes” in 2023 and “Bal des Dinosaures” in 2024. The upcoming festival will feature lantern installations that highlight Japanese culture and history.

Festival Highlights and Thematic Sections

The “Le Japon en Lumières” festival will include 2,000 lanterns, guiding visitors through aspects of Japanese history, culture, and natural beauty. The festival is organized into three sections, each providing a different perspective on Japan.

The first section, “L’Empire des Traditions,” focuses on ancient Japan with representations of shintō and Buddhist temples, as well as traditional torii gates.

“L’Odyssée Pop-Moderne” highlights the modern culture of Tokyo, showcasing aspects of Japan’s capital city.

The final section features Japan’s natural wonders, inspired by sakura blossoms, koi carp, and Mount Fuji.

Event Details and Visitor Information

The festival will run daily, except on Mondays and Tuesdays outside school holidays. Ticket prices are €18 for adults and €12 for children. The Jardin d’Acclimatation, located in the Bois de Boulogne near the Les Sablons metro station, continues to host cultural exhibitions.
