Investigation Launched into Permit Issues at Hossoland Amusement Park

Poland - The newly opened Hossoland amusement park in Poland is currently under scrutiny due to concerns regarding its operating permits.

Opened in late June, the park is attracting attention from the Polish judiciary, which is investigating claims that the park may be functioning without the necessary legal documentation. These revelations have prompted safety concerns, despite assurances from the park’s management about compliance with safety standards.

Permit and Safety Concerns

The situation arose after reports from municipal authorities in Gryfice suggested that Hossoland might be operating without the required permits. These reports have led to an official probe by the Polish judiciary to ascertain whether the park holds the appropriate operating license. The investigation aims to determine if any illegal activities are taking place, with the potential for legal penalties if the park is found to be non-compliant.

An inspection conducted to assess the park’s adherence to legal standards highlighted the lack of proper documentation. This has raised alarms regarding visitor safety, although the park’s management has countered these concerns by stating that the issues are purely administrative. They affirm that all attractions have received the necessary safety certifications. Furthermore, the management underscores that satisfactory inspections have been conducted by relevant authorities, including the fire department, police, and health services.

Judicial Review and Possible Consequences

The judiciary has set a thirty-day period to review the findings and decide on any potential prosecutions. This timeline is crucial as it determines whether the park will face fines or other legal consequences. Despite the ongoing investigation, Hossoland has not been mandated to close, allowing it to continue operations for the time being.

As the park navigates these challenges, it remains fully operational, with the current season scheduled to run until the end of October.
