Hunderfossen Family Park in Norway is expanding its attraction offerings with “Rally Flåklypa,” a new dark ride set to open in May 2026. This media-based attraction is being developed through a collaboration between BoldMove Nation and Qvisten Animation. Utilizing trackless vehicles, which are new to Norway, the ride will feature the fictional universe of Reodor Felgen from the Flåklypa series.
Ride Technology and Design
The “Rally Flåklypa” ride will be located within an existing building at Hunderfossen Family Park. It will integrate physical sets with digital media, using BoldMove’s ride system to deliver movements such as spins and slides synchronized with the media content. This combination of physical and digital components is designed to enhance the experience.
Development Collaboration and Thematic Components
The development of “Rally Flåklypa” is a joint effort between BoldMove Nation and Qvisten Animation. Qvisten Animation, known for its work on the Flåklypa franchise, will produce all media content for the attraction. The ride narrative involves Reodor Felgen and his friends participating in a race with eco-friendly fuel, facing various challenges from competitors.
Control and Effects Technology
The attraction will utilize the Kamino Show Control System to manage effects, sound, and video technology, ensuring a cohesive ride experience. A pre-show will be featured to introduce the main adventure. The control system is designed to integrate all ride elements effectively.
Film Release Connection
In conjunction with the ride’s development, Qvisten Animation is planning a new film in the Flåklypa series, set for release in Norwegian cinemas on Christmas Day. This timing aligns with the park’s approach to storytelling across various media platforms.
