Halloween Horror Nights 34 to Feature Nightmare Fuel and Lagoon Show at Universal Orlando

Universal Orlando has announced two entertainment offerings for Halloween Horror Nights 34: ‘Nightmare Fuel: Circus of Decay’ and ‘Haunt-O-Phonic: A Ghoulish Journey.’ Both shows will be presented during the 2025 edition of the annual event.

Nightmare Fuel Returns for Its Fifth Edition

‘Nightmare Fuel: Circus of Decay’ is the fifth edition in the Nightmare Fuel series, continuing Universal’s tradition of seasonal stage shows. This year’s theme reimagines the show in a decaying circus environment, featuring pyrotechnics, aerial acts, and illusion effects.

The series launched in 2021 with ‘Halloween Nightmare Fuel,’ followed by ‘Nightmare Fuel: Wildfire’ in 2022, ‘Nightmare Fuel: Revenge Dream’ in 2023, and ‘Nightmare Fuel: Nocturnal Circus’ in 2024. Each edition presented a unique theme, cast, and technical enhancements while maintaining the franchise’s combination of fire, choreography, and stunts.

Lagoon Show Returns with Haunt‑O‑Phonic

‘Haunt‑O‑Phonic: A Ghoulish Journey’ will bring back the lagoon show format to Halloween Horror Nights for the first time since 2022. The production features large-scale water screen projections and thematic music, presenting a ghost story across the Universal Studios lagoon.

The previous lagoon show, ‘Ghoulish: A Halloween Tale,’ ran in 2022 but ended early due to damage from Hurricane Ian. ‘Haunt‑O‑Phonic’ marks the return of the format after a two-year hiatus.
