California - As Marvel’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps prepares for its theatrical release, Disneyland Resort and Hong Kong Disneyland are bringing the superhero family to life with new character experiences, themed effects, and special surprises in Tomorrowland. Fans will have the chance to meet Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, The Thing, and even their robot companion H.E.R.B.I.E.
Solo encounters at Disneyland
Beginning Friday, July 25, guests at Disneyland in California can meet members of the Fantastic Four in Tomorrowland. Appearances will take place outside the Tomorrowland Theater, near Space Mountain. However, don’t expect to meet the entire team at once, each character will appear individually, offering varied encounters throughout the day.
Meet H.E.R.B.I.E.
In addition to the Fantastic Four, guests may spot H.E.R.B.I.E., the helpful robot assistant featured in the film. He will appear in a dedicated space near the other character locations and will be interacting with visitors for a limited time.
Special effects on Space Mountain
From July 25 through September 21, Space Mountain will feature unique nighttime projection effects in celebration of The Fantastic Four: First Steps. The attraction’s iconic exterior will light up with visuals inspired by the film, adding a futuristic flair to Tomorrowland after sunset.
Encounters in Hong Kong
Hong Kong Disneyland is also joining the celebration. Starting Wednesday, July 23, guests can meet Invisible Woman and The Thing on the Tomorrowland Stage. Like in California, these are limited-time experiences designed to highlight the film’s launch.
Themed treats across parks
New food, drinks, and collectible novelties inspired by The Fantastic Four: First Steps will roll out across Disneyland Resort, Hong Kong Disneyland, and Disneyland Paris. Each resort will offer its own themed menu items and merchandise to mark the occasion.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps is set in a vibrant, retro-futuristic 1960s universe and introduces Marvel’s First Family as they face their greatest challenge yet. The team must balance family bonds with cosmic-level threats, including the arrival of Galactus and his Herald, the Silver Surfer. The film stars Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and is directed by Matt Shakman. It premieres in theaters on July 25, 2025.
