Germany - Europa-Park’s attraction, FLOWRYDE, has received the XR Industry Activation Award 2025 from nextReality.Hamburg e.V. This award recognizes the integration of extended reality (XR) technologies into practical applications.
FLOWRYDE’s Technological Features
FLOWRYDE is a trackless XR ride developed for Europa-Park, a theme park in Germany. The attraction combines movement, advanced technology, and storytelling. The ride includes features such as “JOURNEY TO EDEN,” “BRAIN SHOCKER VR,” and “Schellen Ursli VR FLOWRYDE.”
Development and Collaboration
FLOWRYDE was developed through a collaboration within the MACK Group, which includes MACK One and VR Coaster, the latter responsible for the XR experience. 2112 STUDIOS contributed to the sound design. This project reflects the MACK family’s engineering expertise over 50 years.
Recognition of Industry Contributions
The XR Industry Activation Award honors efforts in virtual, augmented, or mixed reality that impact the industry. FLOWRYDE’s recognition is based on its use of immersive technology and visitor engagement.
