Turkish attraction manufacturer DOF Robotics has announced that it is developing its own humanoid robot, marking a significant expansion beyond the motion simulators, flying theatres and immersive attractions for which the company is best known. The project forms part of a broader strategy to position DOF Robotics at the forefront of artificial intelligence and next-generation robotics.
From Theme Park Rides to Humanoid Robots
DOF Robotics has built its reputation within the attractions industry by supplying motion simulators, dark ride systems, flying theatres and interactive experiences to theme parks, museums and entertainment venues around the world.
Now the company is looking far beyond the leisure industry.
According to DOF Robotics, the new humanoid robot will be designed using Turkish engineering and artificial intelligence technologies. While technical specifications and a launch date have not yet been revealed, the company says the project is intended to create robots capable of working alongside people in a wide range of sectors, including tourism, hospitality, healthcare and manufacturing.
