Disney Unveils Largest-Ever Imagineering Pavilion for D23 Expo 2026

‘Imagineering: Horizons’ to offer fans a closer look at the future of Disney Parks

Walt Disney Imagineering will take centre stage at D23 Expo 2026 with its largest pavilion ever created for the event. The new exhibition, titled Imagineering: Horizons, will welcome guests on the show floor of the Anaheim Convention Center during D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event from August 14 to 16.

The expanded pavilion reflects Disney’s continued focus on its parks and resorts business and is expected to give visitors a behind-the-scenes look at how new attractions, lands and experiences are developed. While Disney has not yet revealed which projects will be featured, the exhibition promises to showcase the creative process behind some of the company’s most ambitious work.

An inside look at Imagineering

According to Disney, the pavilion will explore the work of the designers, engineers and storytellers responsible for bringing Disney attractions to life. Guests can expect exhibits highlighting the technologies, artwork and design process that transform ideas into finished experiences.

Exactly what will be on display remains under wraps. Disney has not confirmed whether the pavilion will include scale models, ride vehicles, concept artwork or previews of specific projects, leaving plenty of anticipation ahead of the event.

Linked to Disney’s biggest parks presentation

The pavilion shares its name with the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase, the headline presentation taking place on August 15 at the nearby Honda Center.

Hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, the showcase is expected to feature major announcements and construction updates from Disney Experiences, alongside appearances by Imagineers and other creative leaders. The matching branding suggests the exhibition and stage presentation are designed to complement one another, giving fans both an immersive exhibition and Disney’s largest parks presentation of the weekend.

Building on a popular D23 tradition

Imagineering has become one of the biggest attractions on the D23 show floor in recent years. At the 2024 edition of the event, the Imagineering: Behind the Dreams pavilion gave guests access to attraction models, engineering demonstrations and interactive exhibits that offered a rare glimpse behind the scenes of Disney’s creative process.

By expanding that concept into its largest pavilion to date, Disney is signalling an even greater emphasis on its parks division during this year’s convention.

More details still to come

Although the announcement confirms the scale and theme of the pavilion, Disney has yet to reveal which attractions, lands or resorts will be represented. With several major expansion projects currently underway across Disney destinations worldwide, the exhibition is expected to become one of the most closely watched areas of D23 Expo 2026 as fans look for clues about the future of Disney Parks.
