Busch Gardens Williamsburg to Rename Verbolten Roller Coaster as “Forbidden Turn”

Virginia - Busch Gardens Williamsburg has announced plans to rename its family roller coaster, Verbolten, to “Verbolten – Forbidden Turn,” introducing a new storyline and effects. The changes are scheduled for 2026.

New Narrative

Verbolten – Forbidden Turn will feature a storyline about “Black Forest Motor Tours,” beginning with a drive through the German hinterland that leads into a mysterious forest. The ride is designed to blend fantasy and reality.

Transformation Timeline

Verbolten will operate until January 4, 2026, after which it will close temporarily for the transformation. The park plans to reopen the attraction later in 2026, though specific dates are not yet available.
