Beijing Announces Major Cultural Tourism Projects, Including Asia’s First Ferrari World

China - Beijing’s Sub-Centre Cultural Tourism Zone is set for significant changes with the introduction of four major cultural tourism projects, collectively valued at nearly ¥10 billion ($1.4 billion). These developments include the Ferrari World Entertainment Complex and the Mars Habitat Sci-Fi City.

Ferrari World Entertainment Complex: A First for Asia

The Ferrari World Entertainment Complex will be the first Ferrari-themed park in Asia. Following a formal investment agreement, the complex will feature rollercoasters, racing simulators, a motorsport stunt arena, and a Ferrari Design & Innovation Gallery. The project has been in planning since 2016, after a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Ferrari, Beijing Automotive, and BAIC Eternaland. Its announcement at the investment promotion conference on November 21, 2025, marks a milestone following its conceptual debut last year.

Mars Habitat Sci-Fi City: A New Frontier in Entertainment

The Mars Habitat Sci-Fi City, with an estimated investment of nearly ¥5 billion ($700 million), will be China’s first large-scale Mars-themed base. It will incorporate elements of Martian cultural creativity, aerospace science education, and space-themed entertainment.

Both the Ferrari World and Mars Habitat Sci-Fi City represent changes in Beijing’s leisure landscape, as noted by officials during the recent investment promotion event.
