Bavarian Family Park Expands with New Farm-Themed Land Opening in 2026

A popular family attraction in southern Germany is preparing for one of the biggest expansions in its history.

Rodelbahn St. Englmar, located in the Bavarian Forest, has unveiled plans for an all-new themed area called Sepp’s Traditional Farm (“Sepps zünftiger Bauernhof”). The new land will introduce four attractions over multiple phases, with the first experiences expected to welcome guests during the 2026 season.

Four New Attractions Planned

The new area is built around the park’s mascots, Sepp and Bazi, transforming their fictional farm into an interactive destination filled with rides and play experiences for families.

Among the headline attractions is an eight-metre-tall climbable cow that will serve as the centrepiece of a new inclusive playground. Designed for children of all abilities, the playground will feature accessible play equipment, including a wheelchair-friendly sandpit and a variety of interactive elements.

Thrill-seeking families can also look forward to the Farmer’s Sling, a 12-metre-tall Wild Swing attraction manufactured by ART Engineering. Suitable for guests aged three and older, the attraction promises sweeping swings high above the new themed area.

Family Attractions Complete the Expansion

The expansion will also include a guided Unimog ride, where guests travel through the farm to help transport timber alongside Sepp and Bazi.

For younger visitors, a farm-themed carousel featuring colourful watering cans, flowers and playful piglets will complete the first phase of the project.

Together, the attractions are intended to strengthen the park’s already extensive offering for families with young children while creating a cohesive new themed environment centred around Bavarian farm life.

Opening in Stages

Construction began during the second half of 2025 and is progressing in several phases. The first attractions are scheduled to open during the 2026 season, with the remaining elements of Sepp’s Traditional Farm following as development continues.

Located in Bavaria, Rodelbahn St. Englmar has evolved from a traditional summer toboggan run into a growing family leisure destination featuring alpine coasters, roller coasters, playgrounds and numerous attractions. The addition of Sepp’s Traditional Farm represents another major investment as the park continues to expand its appeal to families visiting the Bavarian Forest.
