Anakeesta - Anakeesta Adventure Park, located in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, has announced a $100 million expansion plan set to span five years. Named “Making More Magic,” the project plans to double the park’s size with new villages, attractions, dining, and retail spaces. The expansion will occur in phases, with the first phase already in progress.
Phase 1: “A Fresh Start”
The first phase, titled “A Fresh Start,” is set to begin immediately, with a targeted completion date in spring 2026. This phase includes the construction of a lift with glass floors. The existing Firefly Village will be redesigned with new elements and an overlook. The Treetop Skywalk will receive upgrades, including expanded bridges and towers.
The park will temporarily close in January 2026 and is expected to reopen in March. During this closure, guests will have access to the park via the Ridge Rambler until the new lift is operational. Phase 1 will also introduce the “Firefly Experience,” a year-round lighting installation inspired by the region’s fireflies.
Phase 2: “The Next Adventure”
Phase 2, titled “The Next Adventure,” is scheduled to start in 2027. Although detailed information is limited, this phase is expected to add new rides and dining options. Anakeesta will provide updates throughout the expansion process.
This expansion marks a significant change for Anakeesta, indicating a period of growth and development over the next several years.
